Agder Research has invited international researchers to Kristiansand for a working conference in September. The aim of the conference is to present current festival research and discuss for the purpose of preparing a project proposal for the EU research program HERA (Humanities European Research Area). We currently have researchers coming from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Croatia and England. The conference will run over two days where on the first day the researchers will be given the opportunity to hear more about the HERA program from the Norwegian Research Council as well as hear from each country represented at the conference how festivals might fit into a HERA perspective. The second day the researchers will be asked to present their own festival research in preparation for discussing a project proposal on festival for the HERA program. In addition the researchers have been invited to participate in the experience industry conference Motion, and will be attending the Motion kick off Tuesday 2nd September for Pecha Kucha night: www.motion.no.

The working conference is mainly aimed at researchers interested and currently working in the field of festivals, but we are open to anyone interested in listening and participating in the discussions.
